Drip Stop

The DRIP STOP is an inflatable bladder designed to stop the annoying water trickle that sometimes occurs with faulty shut off valves or large mainlines.

To use the DRIP STOP:
1. Turn off your main water supply and open a valve or a faucet to relieve anyb pressure build up.
2. Ream pipe to remove any sharp edges.
3. Snake the DRIP STOP through the repair fittings and inflate the bladder in the pipe. Only inflate the bladder until positive contact is made with the pipe and the water stops tricking. Be careful not to over inflate!
4. Glue all fittings and remove the DRIP STOP.
5. install plug into the "T" fitting.

For copper pipe soldering use the high temperature tubing #RIS8140. After inflating the bladder wrap a wet rag just before the bladder to absorb heat. Avoid putting flame directly on tubing. When properly used, high temp. Tubing will survive dozens of solder jobs.
The above drawings are just a few examples of how the DRIP STOP can be used. Your own experience and imagination will determine how DRIP STOP will best work for you.

WARNING!
THE HIGH TEMP TUBING RETAINS HEAT! USE CAUTION WHEN HANDLING AFTER SOLDERING! THE DRIP STOP WAS NOT DESIGNED TO HOLD BACK PRESSURIZED LIQUIDS IN ANY FORM. YOU MUST REMOVE LINE PRESSURE BEFORE USE!
